Paul, and of course the childhood the author is talking about isn't normal at all in the end. Does a normal childhood even exist?

No such thing as a normal life at any age, everyone is unique.

Paul, yes, but having a not so normal life as an adult is much more interesting and exciting than as a child, I suppose. When you can't choose.
