These snails are such fun and the colour pics of them are quite wonderful ... they are very pale in comparison to the snails I find around her.
How far from the beach do you live? For me it is only a couple of hours drive away.
Of course, it's easy when we have an armor (in colours!).
Beijo
It looks like you had a lot of fun with the snails.
Joan Elizabeth, some of them have a little bit more colour but most of them look like these ones, yes. We also have lots of edible snails - they are quite huge.
Duh - around 400km to The Hague, Netherlands, would be the nearest shore.
CiB, yes I did - what else to do when you have the urge to take photos and it has been raining all day on a Sunday ... :-) ... horrible weather around here right now.
Martina - this is a wonderful photo - I like the texture of the ground in the snail's path. It's almost as if it's tearing up the ground. You use color so sparingly but so effectively. I love the next couple quotes that you have coming up.
I like the connection of colours and contrast. Great photo!
Have a nice weekend (and also week after of course ;)!
They are rather pretty snails aren't they, hard to resist as a subject, glad you didn't resist.
Thank you, Dominik - you, too. Hopefully you have some more spring than we have.
me, yes, it's cool, isn't it - like a road construction machine ... zrrrrrrrrm. Thank you.
paulboo, yes, but I must say I definitely resist the big brown ones without houses - slugs? Not with a macro lens. NO. ;-)
Slugs are pretty disgusting looking creatures YUK!
paulboo, lol - since I wrote this I am constantly thinking about taking photos of slugs ... wouldn't post them though - my mother would never come back to my blog ...
aw, that's so cute! their shells are so beautiful!
ER, I have seen some with more colours the last days - perhaps I will make another snail series. A more colourful one.
