Sometimes I wonder what goes through your mind when you put the quote and the pic together... if its random...ok, but if not, hmmmm, better you dont try and follow the lemmings this way :)!
Sean, clearly inspired by "Under the Dome" where some dictator leads the lemmings into the abyss. Tries to lead them. No, I don't think it ever has been random, no ... but sometimes I am so tired I just pick "something" and the next day it becomes clear to me why I picked this quote - it is like when you tell someone a dream and the other person says: hey that is obvious, that means that and this and that ... ;-)
CiB, thank you. It is a little bit unusual pattern design for our area, I am not sure what the purpose of this manhole is. It's near the river, so ... ah, I don't know ;-)
the half-life of linoleum, (thlol?), yes, I agree. Funny, that for a whole life one does not recognise the patterns et al until starting taking pictures of them, isn't it?
Highton-Ridley, thank you very much for your comment!
This is more a daily feed than a daily blog.
Photos are resized or may be cropped - that's the only post-processing I do.
The quotes: it is essential to me to only quote from things I am currently reading ... I must admit it is sometimes lopsided ... reading a 1000 page novel takes some time ;-)

Nice.
The photo and the quote from Stephen King.
Costas
Great image quote combo -- captures a narrow regimented mind perfectly.

Costas, σας ευχαριστώ! :-)
Joan Elizabeth, have you read the novel?

Great looking manhole cover - great circular design.
Martina - very nice Greek translation for Costas - the photo is wonderful - there is so much art in those iron covers to the underground world.
A great concept - you've got a good compositional eye, in choice of image and book!
I like the graphics created by this cover

cool - we used to play marbles on these drain covers when we were little
Cacador, thank you again - now I will always think of belly bottoms seeing manholes ... ;-)
