Hey, your combination of quotes and pictures is really fine. Thanks for making me smile once more.

Quite a colorful broom!

I knew this shock of color with a dusting of snow would bring lots of comments. We called those 'portvish' in Croatia when I was little. Perhaps a German word?

Tash, now my brain is saying "portvish portvish portvish" all the time, ;-)
Does not sound familiar, though.

@all: In Germany red coloured brooms are for outdoor usage while indoor brooms are black or brown. From your comments I conclude this is not an universal law ...

I've never heard the red for outdoor and black/brown for indoor rule. But I never pay attention to details like that, either! Ich bin nicht sehr aufmerksam.

Lizzy, Joan Elizabeth is amused that I choose colour for my snow photos, but I guess I am so sick of this white/grey world I live in at the moment - we haven't seen the sun for two weeks I think, is it still there somewhere? What about blue sky - does it still exist?
