It is a pretty dizzying perspective!
When I was a wee young thing (in the middle of last century!) I studied Geography and one of the bestest units was River Deltas. The Nile, Ganges and Mississippi come to mind.
Terrific marrying of image and quote.
I love looking up trees ... the quote adds a whole new perspective.
Julie, rivers are like veins of the land in my imagination and the forking of the trees' twigs and branches always remind me of them.
