Hmmm, while a memorable quote I think it is pretty much a done deal wrt Newton... but point taken, and at the top of the crane is not really the time to think about it :)
I can see the crane launching a giant apple to prove the quote.
Got a little dizzy there just looking at the photo! From this perspective, it look like the crane is picking up the tree.
Hmm, you gave me something to think about there...
