Martina, I like this shot. I tried getting some showing the furrows on my last trip but as the grain had been havested they were not well defined enough ... perhaps at another time of year or a place growing a different crop.

You have so many rural pictures I am guessing you live in a rural area ... I only get to visit the farming country every now and then.

Joan Elizabeth, do not ask me how many furrows I have taken pictures of in my life that just came out ... duh ... boring :-)
Hm, "rural" does not feel right, perhaps semi-rural, I live on the outskirts of a city with a population of ca. 200000. Many of the farmers and wine growers have day-time jobs.
But: after some cold and dark months of winter I am not inclined to go downtown ... not with these dandelions around.

And say which grain will groww and which will not,
Speak then to me, who neither beg, nor fear
Your favors nor your hate."...
Great shot Martina. I like the light!

@Joanet: Yes, the light around 19hrs at this time of year is very very nice ... if there is any sun at all :-S

I love the perspective in this shot and the deep symmetrical furrows.

M - I had not known that this photo which I'd seen before was paired with this quote. It's a great combination. Nice.

-me, I am still wondering: do photos need a title, a quote ... does it work in a different way here than in the portfolio page?
