My photo of stars is made with two layers:
1-stars
2-back ground of sky
...and photoshop.
I must say, I was very lazy and tired and cold yesterday -- didn't even use a remote control therefore much blur. Not much processing either.
That's why I am in fact a bad astronomer: mostly it is too cold for me ;-)
