Now that is an interesting thought ... is looking down on the world isolating or engrandising? If for a brief time in a location like this I'd say awe inspiring.

Joan Elizabeth, or it may be a humble or it may be a megalomaniac feeling. Who knows why humankind climbs mountains? (Okay, we know: because they are there! ;-))

AB, thank you! For someone like me who is really really afraid of heights photography is a good therapy, i.e. means to rationalise :-).
