I walked into a building like that on an Austrian mountainside once, thinking that it was abandoned or that it was like a Scottish bothy. Two elderly Austrians blearily rose from their siesta and I was SO embarrassed! They were really good about it and plied me with home made cake and lemonade and proceeded to tell me that they and the building had been in a film with Sophia Loren! We had a great conversation despite my limited German before I set off up the mountain again having been reminded that there are some lovely people around. Just thought the story fitted in well with your quote!
This is more a daily feed than a daily blog.
Photos are resized or may be cropped - that's the only post-processing I do.
The quotes: it is essential to me to only quote from things I am currently reading ... I must admit it is sometimes lopsided ... reading a 1000 page novel takes some time ;-)
