This is so cool and funny and true - poor duck :)
Sherry? I thought ducks only drink "Gänsewein". Looks more like the duck is already gone through the crisis :-( The photo appears to me like a illustration of an old children's book.
donnie, you might have sheep with electrical wires coming out of their backs, but we have drunken ducks, ha!
anonymous, you are the duck expert, you should know. Unfortunately I couldn't take a better photo, I had to stick the lens through fence and vines, watching out for the duck's owner ...
don't tell me you really kill a duck?!! that's amazing what we can do to have a nice picture...
kiss
Fine - reminds me of my kids' book where 'Michel from Lönneberga' feeds his pig with fermented cherries.
dear Zé, I would never do that ... :-)
Markus, funnily anon told me later that day that he was reminded of "Baumgarten's Wichtelbuch".
Michel even did feed them to the cock. I was so impressed. I was 8.
@all: it's a goose :-P
Too much sherry is not good for the goose!! Unless it's in a nice sauce.....!!
Paul, definitely not sherry. This goose is resting on the banks of the River Main, in sight of Hochheim, a town that - as you surely know - was visited by Queen Victoria in 1845 - hence: „A good Hock keeps off the doc!“ . So it must have been the wine ... goose au vin ...
