Marcin, your are talking with snails???? ;-P

Mi, muito obrigado!

Paul, thank you. Snails make nice macros - they don't move that fast.

Dear Zé, sometimes I am a hunter, too.l

veredit, thank you :-D!

ruimnm, muito obrigado também a você!

Boys Town is a very bitter and dark story, after the last quotes (and I don't think they will get much more cheerful) I thought I have to post a photo that stands in contrast to the story's mood: a nice delicate even a little bit funny looking snail's face :-).

I love this shot. I used to have a plaque of snails in my garden. Now even with all this rain there don't seem to be a lot ... can't figure it out but I'm not complaining.

Joan Elizabeth, from my experience I would say the second you turn around they come out of their holes in masses and masses. Nibble all of your salad and everything. And then you turn around again and woooosh - they hide.
;-)

I took this photo for some New York Times thing - a day in your life or such. Where photographers all around the world tried to take a photo at this and that time of day. Of course here it was raining - typical day of my life (did I say anything about the weather today already?) so I took many photos of snails as a metaphor. I like the macros very much - they seem so delicate and frail ...

Ooh, I missed this one before. You've managed to make a snail look kind of okay.

Is this going to be in the New York Times?

maggie... , yes, snail ghost ;-)

kobico, ah, no. This NYT project was totally stupid. When I uploaded my photos their server wasn't in the mood ... afterwards they asked everyone to upload again - but then I have already recognised how many people cheated and lost interest ;-)
