I guess there has been a lot of fun here over the years.

Wicked, really wicked! It seems you could beat my (famous) cynicism by lenghts!

Orange, oui ou non?

The romans were certainly and interesting crew - first they invade, then they conquer and then they build theaters. . . too bad they didn't make it to north amwerica. . . then i could take pictures of their work too. :(

But I wouldn't take them anywhere nearly as well as you. This is great. Love it.

I had fun.

Joan Elizabeth, like Markus mentioned, I more often think of the non-fun with these monuments, :-). And the tourists' little children didn't have fun, either. Sun was burning, steps too high, and nothing as boring as an antic theatre, ;-). They proved the acoustics very good, though, lol.

Markus, yes, I can't help myself with these things. Sometimes I wish I could be a litte bit more .. relaxed?

-me, oui, c'est Orange. Every little town in Europe that has its "umbilicus urbis attack" has to have a Roman theatre. So Mainz, too. I had taken the throwtograph photo on scrappress at the trainstation nearby.

Mi, muito obrigado e obrigado pela tua visita.:-)

I really like the lines formed by the contrast between the shaded and sunny part of the steps, it's an eye-catcher. And yes, there's nothing like screaming kids to demonstrate just how well sound carries.

kobico, there is something strange with this photo. The original, coloured and in "huge" size, is overexposured (down left corner), blurry and without any "meaning". But I needed something for "fun" (or anti-fun ;-)), so ... I played around with it and really like the result now. Don't ask me why ...
