Hmm ... interesting. Did they light up or shoot fire or move?

Silence is in order ... I haven't got a clue what to make of those sculptures but they sure look like fun,

I like this composition: the sculptures and the Gothic windows; I believe that this St King's phrase him comes very well...

Enjoy the silence ... depeche mode

PD: they are newspapers and fascicles...

kobico, I think they might be still discussing why all this stuff doesn't work properly ...

Joan Elizabeth, the artist is Jean Tinguely, these sculpures are metamechanics, it's a little bit Dada of which I am a great fan.

Roberto, yes, I like the Gothic-Dada connection, too.
When I have been in Paris last year the metamechanics had been working - squeaking and rattling, spitting and slurping. Perhaps they are going to oil them, so there won't be that much noise anymore, ;-).

Fascinating, that guy passing looks bemused too. I like the element of strangeness and feelings of the surreal in this shot Martina.

Ohhh ... there was a Tinguely work at the Metz gare last year! My boyfriend and I happened upon it by accident.

Uncle Boo, thank you. I think the guy passing is the boss. But of course, not sure.

Zé Caçador, yes, I thought you might like Tinguely-creatures, :-)

kobico, ah, I would really love to be able to make such metamechanics - I would put on in the frontyard, ha!
