Looks rainy outside, much better to be inside shopping.

I wonder why they didn't bring the clothes in out of the rain? The Half-Life of Linoleum?

Who is this mysterious half-lifer?

So many headless people on the street. They must have brought back the guillotine.

Joan Elizabeth, or having an espresso at the next bistro (that was what we did :-)).

Carl, I simply had to look this up: manikin
1570, "jointed figure used by artists," from Du. manneken, lit. "little man," dim. of man (n.). And of course I simply had to post this. ;-) German would be "Männchen". I will never look at manikins the same way now.

Especially with ..

AB's comment. Priceless. *bg*

Paula, at some point they did I suppose. When everything was already soaked, ;-).

Ah, the half-lifer - he wrote a novel and gave me two pages. And this sentence just had to be quoted.

Martina - I hadn't stopped by for a couple days - and now. . . I see what you have done. The photo is perfect for the quote! I love Paris in the rain, in the sunshine, in the light and dark and even the paris of headless people!

And it is completely different from the setting of the half life of linoleum. A run-down town in upstate New York. . . about as far from Paris as anywhere on the planet. With no guillotine in sight. In fact, I don't think there was a mannequin anywhere in the town either. . . a diner, a bar (of course), a farm, a jail (for the dog that stole the police car). . .

Oh I am so thrilled to have made the pages of bwc.

I am grinning from ear to ear -

A dog stole a police car? Sounds interesting!

I'm rather liking that purple dress...

thlol, now I am grinning from ear to ear :-). At first it felt a little bit wrong to match this quote with Paris, but the next second I thought: that's exactly why it matches. Eh, hard to understand?

kobico, hm, I don't know about the dog and the police car either ... perhaps I will get some more pages ... someday ... (hint hint).

The rainbow coloured one? I fear it needs handwashing, too :-p. All these things do.

Martina - I could send more pages. are you sure that it won't be too much? It does sort of break the rules of two pages only - maybe I could send them to someone else and you could see if he or she would share. . .

Let me know what you think. This has been a lot of fun.

thlol, but isn't breaking the rules what we all should do now and then?

whoa!
Love the composition you made here!

The scene is really evocative, has a vintage decadent charm and I can feel the smell of the rain ticking on the streets.

ps: I've been some weeks away but tomorrow I'm going to enjoy the works I missed. This is a great pic from wich start =)

this too will pass, thank you! And yes, it was cool indeed, ;-)

LS, I like this photo very much, too. Thank you! It is only a snapshot, nothing spectacular, just waiting for the rain to stop and pointing the camara here and there.

And your ps is mine ps today, ;-)
