You are finding a lot of quotes in the Stephen King novel. I'm rather fond of skateboarders ... they liven up the cavernous cement spaces our modern world creates.
Joan Elizabeth, novels of this kind are easy to quote somehow ... I am p.942 right now ;-) And yes, I like them too.
kobico, when I was a kid we dissambled our rollerskates (those without shoes, don't know if they are world wide known, ;-)) and attached the wheels under a short plank - with nails, ;-)

I think this teenager is dangerously behind the times. Two-wheeled waveboards are this year's thing
