I agree with windy, love the splash of red in an otherwise monochromatic scene. And the way the windows break up the vertical lines of the boards. Welcome back, Martina (I didn't get to say that earlier, I think)
Oooh aaah I just love this shot, the bleached wood, the rustic look and that red light in the corner adding a special tough of interest ... sets my mind running free.
The wood panels of the cabins and huts in this part of Austria are very very weathered - after three years they are black. This is a photo I took last year in the same village. The photo is not postprocessed in any way (I have no noteworthy postprocessing skills - ehem), it is a coloured photo taken in a snowstorm - one can see the almost horizontally flying snowflakes. I did not expect the photos I took this day to be any good, but hey ... ;-)
I have visited your blog in a while, but I really enjoy all your new photos. I love this picture too. The color of the wood towards the top and just the contrast against the other colors is wonderful. You do great work!
ana barata, yes, I somehow played with the idea of an old hut, sitting there forever, through storms and snow, sun and rain, its mind roaming freely ...
This is more a daily feed than a daily blog.
Photos are resized or may be cropped - that's the only post-processing I do.
The quotes: it is essential to me to only quote from things I am currently reading ... I must admit it is sometimes lopsided ... reading a 1000 page novel takes some time ;-)

Love the effect of the bleached wood with that little bit of colour still showing - well captured

great mysterious mood :))
whoa Martina!
I love the processing! Also the shot is amazing, well framed and composed.
You made a vivid b/w with colors insertions, like uncovered fleshes.
A great composition and colors.
Well done.
Thx to all :-)
