...and stayed happy in the mountain cabin of a REAL kind. Very pretty B&W.
ooo ... a hermitage ... there was an article in the paper a while back, modern hermits live in normal houses.
Joan Elizabeth, I once found this on wikipedia about hermits:
"During the Romantic period of the 19th century some wealthy estate owners would pay imitation "hermits" to inhabit their properties, as living garden decorations."
Strange, isn't it?
@all: I am not really sure but I think it is a shepherd's cabin - might still be in use. It's located at the Great St. Bernard Pass.
