You have exceeded my expectations. There is so much in the photograph which works. The traffic, the dull look on their faces - contemplating the same expectations, the wait for the cars to move past, the chaos... black, white, rich and poor, we all want the same things and how we go about this is often so different but the ultimate goal is the same. I could go on forever about this topic but the worst part about it is, often and for the most part, we dont know what makes us happy, and are so busy worrying and distrusting one another that we lost sight of the ultimate objective. Thank you Martina... this was really good!

Such a simple statement, yet it summarizes a complicated concept so astutely. And you have captured a scene which complements it well.

It's been a long time since I've read Diary of a Young Girl. Your blog is dangerous -- it keeps adding to my reading list, and I'm a slow reader!

A magic connection of photo and quote -- everyone looks preoccupied and not at all happy -- a whole herb of similar people.
