yann & CiB: merci beaucoup, thx very much, :-) kobico, yes, I think I will do something with the wings - felt just like you seeing the photo. Joan Elizabeth, colour, germany, animal, macro ... ;-) I think it is a wasp even if usually we have lots of bees in/on/around our peppermint.
Just did some research. Wasps don't have hairy bodies and don't collect pollen. I thought perhaps a hover fly but looking into the detail of the wing it isn't one of those either so a bee it is.
Joan Elizabeth, this makes sense - I was a litte bit confused: when I took the photo I was sure it's a bee (this year fortunately we do not have many wasps) but looking at the macro I thought it might be a wasp.
magnifique macro je presume ...mais vraiment une pose numero 1 jadore X)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot of the bumblebee.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever noticed just how delicate-looking bees' wings are ... until now.
ReplyDeleteDifferent -- colour? looks different from the bees we have around here (more like a wasp). Can't think of any other reasons.

ReplyDeleteA nice shot. The wasp looks very greedy and insect-like as he shoves his snout into the flower.
