joanet, yes, when he became famous around here some decades ago (I think it was Midnight's Children 1981 - a book I highly recommend) we wondered if it is रश्डि oder रूश्डि - one never knows with the English transliterations, ;-). Anyway, I do portraits of friends and family but I do not post them - I want them to be still friends and family, ;-) - but I took the opportunity last week in Paris to take photos of all the great street perfomers and street artists (and since Sean had his tea break ;-)) This guy was playing the violin in the vicinity of the famous Place du Tertre.
This is more a daily feed than a daily blog.
Photos are resized or may be cropped - that's the only post-processing I do.
The quotes: it is essential to me to only quote from things I am currently reading ... I must admit it is sometimes lopsided ... reading a 1000 page novel takes some time ;-)

sorry, don't know who is, but is brilliant!
Great portrait. I love the wrinkles on his brow.
An interesting face, a well-executed portrait.
Very nice. Concentrating and expressive!
