She was a bit of okay that Woolf woman!
I think the only Woolf I've read is "A Room of One's Own". It was so long ago I can't remember the story but I remember the title coz a room of one's own is very wonderful thing.
I love the quote today.
It's my first Woolf and I find it not a easy read. Long long sentences. Two or three different streams of consciousness. But her protaganists' characterisations are brilliant.
It's hard to find quotes - don't ask me why, perhaps every second sentence is quotable?
These empty table shots always make me wonder what people were there and what kind of meeting took place. They are rather mysterious.
AB, exactly that is what I am always wondering (and I am making up little stories in my head :-))
Dunno, I find them kind of messy and want them cleaned up as soon as possible. Nothing better than a new bottle of something and a clean glass, nothing worse than a stained one and a thumb stained glass.... usually second hand cigarettes in the ashtray, chairs haphazaardly all over the place.... drip stained table... ugh! I never did really well at being a waiter. Walked out on my boss after two nights in the middle of the busiest one... go figure!
Did I mention lipstick stains... even worse! :|)
Sean, obviously you are a bit traumatised ... should have never tried to work as a waiter ... ;-)
I will try and find something neat and clean and tidy for you tonight ...
...
...
Interesting that Sean should make that comment: he has described a perfect photograph, and one that would fit very well within his style.
I must admit to not liking messy tables especially in these days of pandemics ...
Thanks Martina.... onto the next one...
