Some might say Grafitti is art Martina.... some...

It looks like Marina is not the only one to generate cryptic art

Shaun, AB: graffiti sometimes is art. sometimes is not. I must say, I love graffiti - what I do not love is the dumb tagging on private houses etc.

Shaun: when I was young (uhuhu) there was a very famous graffiti artist in Zurich: Naegeli I don't know what he is up to nowadays and if anybody knows him at all.

Yann, oui, hier le temps était très beau et j'étais de bonne humeur, ;-). Malheureusement, no facebook, en Allemagne c'est rare.

Martina... you have now gone into an area where I looked at in quite some depth... I wrote about it in my other blog... see: http://picturesandperspectives.blogspot.com/2009/03/sprayer-of-zurich-harald-naegeli.html

Click on for a whole lot of boring informaion which I wrote in which I questioned whether Naegli was an artist or a defacer of art.... tell me what you think...

Shaun, ah, okay, had I seen your blog post before of course I wouldn't have linked the wikipedia article. And it seems we have the same thoughts about graffiti as art .. or not art ... :

"I guess Graffiti must be art, since some of it looks good, some doesn't, it is a form of expression, it is there to be commented on, it conveys a message, and so Graffiti to me is a form of art."

I guess with all that you got my point... in hindsight I could have said it a little "simpler

Shaun, but I could have never expressed it so clear and simple in English, :-)
