Greece! Like those old streets - I was borne in Bulgaria and we have many of those there. At some point they covered some of them with asphalt - such a waste of beauty and history!

In my head I undertake the exercise of swapping the caption for these two images: and it diminishes the impact.

Children are open to the vast expanses: they want to know, to explore. Adults know that there is murky business behind many doors: they are cynical and world weary.

I like your choices. Bravo!

Excellent photography. Low ground images can be tricky but you captured this perfectly.

Very interesting perspective. Not too many of us can get that low anymore:)

Thanks very much for all the nice comments, :-).

@ellievellie: yes, this streets are amazing, I have never seen this before (this is Rhodes City) and always imagined how the Greeks, the Romans, the Crusaders, the Turks walked this streets. To cover them with asphalt would be really a shame.

@Julie: hm, I really never think much about the quotes - they just come from .... somewhere? ;-)
