Good coffee. Now that is an international subject worth exploring ... Australians have become quite pretentious about their coffee, nothing but a good coffee will do ... though tea is swinging back into favour too after many years on the sidelines.
Joan Elizabeth, yes, it definitely is :-). It is really hard nowadays to get a decent coffee without any voodoo in Germany. The invasion of Starbucks et al. There is a tea-trinking-tradition in Northern Germany (North Sea and Baltic Sea areas) - black tea with cream and rock sugar, very very sweet.
