ana barata, unfortunately I have never been to Portugal yet, :-(.
This was during the solar eclipse March 2006 in Turkey - one of the most impressive experiences in my life. People sitting on the beach and waiting for the sun to get dark - wow. I loved this old couple.
thofl, after all this years I am still thinking what the story of this couple is. Their life. Their quests. Their obstacles. They were the only Turkish couple on the beach, the rest were tourists and employees of the surrounding hotels. What did prompt them to go to the beach and wait for the eclipse?
And yes, Seleukia is a wonderful place. Forest, Greek ruins, tortoises. Nothing else.
This is more a daily feed than a daily blog.
Photos are resized or may be cropped - that's the only post-processing I do.
The quotes: it is essential to me to only quote from things I am currently reading ... I must admit it is sometimes lopsided ... reading a 1000 page novel takes some time ;-)

So sweet... I love this photo.
A sunny day at any portuguese little village near the sea...
Love it!

and this wonderful couple waiting for the darkness to fall.
Your comment on another one of these where the forest was alive with ruins and tortoises - very interesting.
