Martina - I was lost in this exact spot fifteen years ago - although this medieval looking street may not be in Arles - that's where I was lost. Both ends of the street closed into nothingness and I couldn't get out the way I came in. . . I couldn't even find the way I gotten in.
What a great photo.
And. I should have screamed but of course I don't know how to scream in french.
Joan Elizabeth, thank you. It's a little bit on the overexposed side on the upper part, but somehow I like this.
-me, how comes you know I am reading Kafka at the moment (besides the piles of New Yorkers I am browsing)? That's a truly Kafkaesk scene you describe. This is in Avignon, not Arles. A typical Avignon street to me: narrow, old and full of tagging.
it seems that the cries will not help in this little street ! :| I like the way that moves and turns on the horizon, very succesfull this photo ! :) Bye**
Mahon, yes, I like that too. To me that is a typical French sight, I don't know why - it is not that in Germany all streets are wide and straight ;-). I love this ambience. Thanks for your comment.
To shout very loudly to see all in the windows...
ReplyDeleteI love the perspective and light in this one, lovely in B&W.

Oh, it would be tempting to let out a scream on this street just to see what would happen...
