Uncle Boo, :-D - thank you very much! ... but it didn't trick us, didn't it?
yann, merci beaucoup - spooky comme le hulk, eh? ;-)
kobico, I must admit I don't like them that much when in motion and flying towards me - they are so huge.
donnie, enough to look frightening, though.
Joan Elizabeth, first I thought of another quote - I am reading Stephen King, hehe, at last - but then I thought that might give my readers nightmares ... ;-)
Are they real? They are 2, aren't they? Me too: I don't like having these creautes flying over me.... but they very elegant and they look nice in b&w. You did a very nice cpaure here!
ana barata, I am not 100% sure but I think (but 99 ;-)) this is a female Black-tailed Skimmer (Orthetrum cancellatum) and, yes, it is only one. Thanks!
ttwp, thank you! It's cool how the b/w produces the "spooky face" - in the meantime I had a look at several colour photos of Black-tailed Skimmers and didn't see it.
Excellent work with your camera here, these things are so fast, well done!!
ReplyDeleteThe make up worked well, you'd think from looking that this was a dragon fly, appearances can be deceptive...!! :-)
