Joan Elizabeth, these are small ones, around 15 to 20 cm in length, living in the pine forest of Seleukia - strange thing to see tortoises roaming the forests.
How exciting, seeing little tortoises in the forest. I was in a pine forest yesterday ... nothing interesting like that there ... not even a kangaroo because there is no grass under pines.
Joan Elizabeth, it was really great there. Imagine a pine forest, greek ruins everywhere, no one around, sitting on a stone, looking around, looking again - what this? It is moving? There! Another one! And then you realise: it is tortoises everywhere!
Hm I do not think I have ever seen a kangaroo alive ... there must be some in zoos ... but I really can't think of one ... of course, I know Skippy, ;-)
and tortoises live a verrrrrrrry long time! ;)
ReplyDeleteUm espetáculo e em preto e branco está magnifico. Parabéns.
ReplyDeleteI adore this old lady's knarled outfit. I know they can live for a very long time. How big is she?
ReplyDeleteWe see why: she still looks pretty!
