    Joan Elizabeth, yes - and at the moment I am wondering if I would prefer 40 °C ... it's soooo cold.

    AB, these are the things you use to clamp (?) the wires of a fence ... is there an English word? German would be "Drahtspanner". These ones are nice I think.
