This is part of a hard disk (no revolver cylinder, BAP, sorry, ;-)). (For scale: there is my fingerprint in the left of the photo). If I remember right this hard disk suffered a head crash and I am sure, the former owner would be very happy if he/she could just melt it down to get all the bits and bytes back, ;-). I thought this photo would need some explanation, ;-).
Just be careful about extracting the toxic stuff ;p

ReplyDeleteI can empathize with the former owner. I had a hard drive that lasted a month or two before it died on me.
