I dont know why but I found this quote quite meaningful. I sat looking at the photograph for some time without still much to say... if nothing else I thought I should mention it... :)
This delicate blossom seems to have reminded me how fragile life is. Probably not a good thing to think about just before heading out to climb a 20-foot ladder to prune a giant bonsai!
Joan Elizabeth, yes, it is a Blue Passion Flower - right now living in a pot, ;-) - but I am thinking about growing an offshoot or trying to get some seeds since they are cool growing, I just read there is a huge one in Malmö Central Station in Sweden.
kobico, I do hope you are back to earth by now --- a 20 feet bonsai ... to much fertilizer? ;-)

ReplyDeleteDo you know what sort of flower this is? It looks like the flower of the passionfruit but isn't exactly like the ones we have here.

Martina, I created a post just for you to explain why the bonsai is so large...

Thanks Martina. Passionfruit, the other one described in the link you provided, is popular in Australia ... grown for the fruit not the flowers.
