Martina ... I've been away for a short holiday and found time to read "Remembering Babylon" so it was a thrill to come back and find that it's your current feature book.
I was wondering how you would get on with it. It is very Australian in its setting and thought but in a time far distant from the Australia of today ... but I feel that perhaps knowing the Australia of today would help in comprehension.
Joan Elizabeth, at the moment I am mostly wondering if he gets his facts right - the things about language, spirits, culture. And I am thinking about things like "how is it nowadays, are the whites still afraid of the unknown dark blackness?" etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. :-)
