My ex-in laws raised sweet potatoes, what a lot of work hoeing each row by hand, then the wind rows and the sorting...argh, I was ecstatic when the job was finished, but then there was next year...cool shot!
:-) - yes, it's backbreaking - but think of mashed potatoes, potato salad, boiled potatoes, potato pancakes, fried potatoes ... :-D *btw* the shot was taken this week on one of the first sunny warm days around here for this year. As is your blog's motto: Spring we wait for thee ...
I agree with Martina, the thoughts of all the wonderful potato dishes that I love definitely sways my appreciation for this great shadow shot. Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteI find this shadow shot rather touching. Not sure why, but I do.
ReplyDelete@bobbie : Yes! - that's exactly what I was trying to evoke. :-D
ReplyDelete@Silvia K @Sweet Repose : I forgot baked potatoes, jacket potatoes ... hmmmmmmm.
There is haunting romance in these shadows! A sense of survival together! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great shot...I wondered who the people holding hands were and why they were in a field. I loved the earthy clour tones
